Automatic geek provides all computer users a free Geek Tool Bar referred to as the GeekBar

The Geek Bar is a central hub, a special application developed especially for the Automatic Geek company. A simple download that installs safely onto your pc. You can request help directly from your GeekBar with a single push of a button. Connection to your personal geek technician is smooth and fast!

Read below forquestions and answers concerning the Geek Bar.

Does the GeekBar have any Spyware or Adware?
No.

The GeekBar only checks for updates automatically so that you can have the very latest versions of the software that the GeekBar provides and of the GeekBar itself.  The GeekBar does not have any Spyware or Adware whatsoever.

What makes the GeekBar so special?

The GeekBar is a central hub for you to download and install over 30, hand picked and tested open source software systems.  You do not have to search the web and try hundreds of free programs to find the one that is the best. The GeekBar saves you time, effort and money.

You can request help directly from your GeekBar with a single click. More features and items will be added to the GeekBar as we continue to expand our system.

How do I download the GeekBar?

The GeekBar is installed by an actual Geek as part of the PC Tune-Up.
Not only does this allow a new guest, such as yourself,  to see, feel and interact with a Geek, and see how it works. It also allows a Geek to see if a system is compatible or if a new guest or user needs their system updated before the GeekBar is installed.

What platforms will the GeekBar currently support?

The GeekBar currently works on most Windows operating systems including, XP/Visa/Windows7, Windows 2000 and probably Windows 98SE (though we haven't found anyone still running that).

Am I Safe

Am I safe?
Can someone access my computer without me knowing and look at my personal data?
It is a common question and a valid concern for many people.

The quick answer is, you are far safer with our system than any other.  The software that allows the Geek to access your computer is permission based. You have to request Help first before anything can happen with Automatic Geek.

When you click the call for help button you start the installation of the program called GoTo Assist, this is the same software used by Dell Microsoft and many fortune 500 companies.

GoTo Assist is part of the Citrix corporation Citrix Online is a fast-growing division of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), based in Santa Barbara, California, with satellite offices and data centers around the world.

This installation of GoTo Assist is good for one single session only. Once the GoTo Assist software is started by you only then can a Geek be called to your computer. Only during a live session can a Geek interact with you for as long as YOU keep the connection open.
You are in total control at all times.

Once the session is over and you close the connection (or the geek closes the connection) the communication software is instantly removed.

There is no way any one of our Staff, Geeks or Employees can access your computer, once this connection is stopped.

You must click the Call for Help button before a Geek can start a session.

You must start the process. The Geek cannot start a session, or get on your computer to download the software that is needed to interact with your computer.

Automatic Geek is one of the only true permission based systems
that was designed from the beginning to protect you, your files, your system and data 100 percent.

For a full report and photos of our Geeks, go to our services page. You will find information that lets you know all about our security, and why you are actually safer with our format than any other system, that includes physical drop off and pick up locations.

Other than the GoTo Assist software used by every major technical service company, all software used by Automatic Geeks systems was programmed by us from the ground up at a cost of over 1.5 million dollars. We own it we control it and it is guaranteed safe. Not a single line of code comes from any third party.

The software that is supplied for free on the Geek bar is tested and listed by top PC/ security companies some of which you may have heard of like Wired Magazine PC world including high level security companies such as Coverity, who are a commercial code analysis company which began at Stanford University.

Coverity, have been running a project called Scan for over two years with funding provided by the Department of Homeland Security,  In line with its own objectives to harden open source applications and programs.

You have inherently more security with our open source software because anyone can examine the underlying program code and verify it does what it should to be doing.

Each open source system supplied on the Geek Bar, in our opinion is equal to or better to the name brand off the shelf software available, costing hundreds of dollars. Each system used on the Geek Bar is supported by our Geeks. Help and support is a single mouse click away with Automatic Geek.
